Pioneer follows eclipse for Science Channel

Science Channel in the US is preparing a live show to follow the forthcoming total solar eclipse that will span the continental US, the first such event in 99 years.

The Great American Eclipse (working title, 1×60′) is from the UK’s Pioneer Productions and will provide live coverage of the event on Monday August 21, including the moment when total darkness descends.

Live footage from across the US, including locations in Tennessee, Idaho, Nebraska and South Carolina, will also feature, alongside expert commentary from astronomers at the Lowell Observatory.
