Pakistan’s PTV claims Cineflix package

Mayday: Air Disaster

Pakistan’s PTV Global has bought more than 160 hours of factual programming from distribution outfit Cineflix Rights.

The Asian broadcaster has acquired seasons one to 13 of Mayday: Air Disaster from Cineflix Productions, the first eight seasons of Border Security produced for Seven Network Australia and Border Force’s first two seasons, which were produced for Sky.

Across the border, Discovery India has bought Hive Content’s hipster travel show Food, Booze & Tattoos (13×30’), while Next Step Thailand has bought wildlife and natural history series Angry Planet (10×30’) and Ocean Vet (11×30’) from Gass Productions.

The deals, agreed ahead of the Asia Television Forum (ATF) this week, were brokered by Chris Bluett, VP of sales for Asia Pacific and Benelux, who is attending ATF 2015.
