Ovation TV investigates Agatha Christie drama

David Walliams and Jessica Raine star in Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime

US arts-focused cablenet Ovation TV has picked up the non-exclusive US rights to Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime and Australian drama A Place to Call Home from AMC Networks-owned distributor RLJ Entertainment.

Agatha Christie’s Partners in Crime (6×60′) is a UK drama based on a collection of short stories by the mystery author. It stars David Walliams and Jessica Raine and will launch on Ovation later this year.

A Place to Call Home (33×60′) is about a mysterious woman who hopes for a new life in Australia during the Second World War. It stars Marta Dusseldorp, Noni Hazlehurst and Brett Climo and will begin airing on Ovation in April.

Both will join Ovation’s new Mystery Mornings block.

“The art of storytelling is something that Ovation greatly values. These two titles will make great additions to the slate of international mystery and drama series that our audience expects from our linear and digital platforms,” said Scott Woodward, executive VP of programming and production at Ovation.
