ZEE5 Kids adds Cosmos-Maya content

Indian OTT platform ZEE5 has acquired more than 250 episodes of content from animation studio Cosmos-Maya for its new kids’ offering.

Under the deal, the recently launched ZEE5 Kids will premiere three titles from India- and Singapore-based Cosmos-Maya: Bapu, Gadget Guru Ganesha and season two of Guddu.

It follows a previous agreement between the pair, through which ZEE5 added more than 250 episodes of Cosmos-Maya’s series ViR: The Robot Boy, Eena Meena Deeka and Chacha Bhatija to its library.

Aparna Acharekar, programming head at ZEE5 India, said: “Responsible and entertaining homegrown content for kids is the need of the hour and ZEE5 Kids is launching to meet that. It is great working with a partner like Cosmos-Maya, which has captured the imagination of children and has been successful through the years in bringing kids’ content to the masses.”
