Vuulr brings in ex-Disney exec Ram
Singapore-based online content marketplace Vuulr has brought in a former Disney executive amidst a clutch of new hires as its international expansion continues.

Avanthi Ram has joined as marketplace success lead to drive growth in film and TV licensing transactions and build long-term relationships with key Vuulr accounts.
Avanthi has more than 15 years of experience in media and content acquisition, distribution, business and sales, and joins Vuulr from The Walt Disney Company, where she was senior manager of content acquisitions.
Rachel Cheong, meanwhile, has been appointed digital marketing manager. Rachel will help to drive business growth for the company through developing global digital marketing strategies. She joins Vuulr from digital and social media marketing agency Vocanic.
Vuulr has also appointed Damon Loh as content operations executive, a role that will see him support Vuulr’s content operations by overseeing quality control and metadata management.
Ray Goh joins as sales and operations executive and will work as part of Vuulr’s customer success team.
The new recruits will join chief content and commercial officer Natasha Malholtra who was part of the company’s founding team.
Malholtra was previously at The Walt Disney Company, where she was general manager and VP of branded media and content for South-East Asia. She previously held senior roles at Arab Television Network and Viacom.

Vuulr includes premium film and TV content from producers and distributors including Legendary, Sony, CNN, Picture Tree International, Kartemquin, Warner Media, SPI International and Toonz Media Group, across more than 60 genres and 90 languages.
The 1,200-plus buyers registered on Vuulr include The Walt Disney Company, Viacom International Media Networks, Turner international Apac, Super RTL, Mediacorp, Public Media Co VN and HOOQ.
