US streamer Hulu falls for Foxtel’s Australian romantic drama Love Me

Love Me is adapted from Swedish drama Älska mig

Disney-owned US streamer Hulu has picked up Australian romantic drama Love Me from London-based distributor DCD Rights.

The 6×60’ scripted series is a Warner Bros International Television Australia production for pay TV operator Foxtel, with production investment from Screen Australia and financed with support from Film Victoria.

The Melbourne-set drama stars Hugo Weaving (The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, Patrick Melrose), Bojana Novakovic (Birds of Prey, Operation Buffalo, Rake), William Lodder (Wakefield, Go Karts), Sarah Peirse (Sweet Tooth, Stateless, The Letdown) and Shalom Brune-Franklin (The Tourist, War of the Worlds, Line of Duty).

It is adapted from the Swedish series Älska mig, directed by Emma Freeman (Stateless, Glitch) and written by Alison Bell, Leon Ford, Adele Vuko and Blake Ayshford.

Love Me reveals how love can appear at the most inconvenient of times, as it does for Clara, Glen and Aaron, who find themselves at an emotional crossroads following an unexpected event that changes their lives forever.
