Set in the Swedish municipality of Haparanda, When Crying Wolf follows police officer Hannah Wester as she investigates a death that seems to be connected to a bloody drug deal in Finland.

The novel was written by Swedish screenwriter, author and actor Rosenfeldt, who created Emmy-winning drama series Marcella as well as global Nordic noir hit The Bridge.

Rosenfeldt said: “The story means a lot to me and I am truly excited to, in a creative collaboration, return to Haparanda, showcase Hannah Wester, Katja and the other characters from the book to a different platform and hopefully reach an even bigger audience on a global scale.”

Josefine Tengblad, head of drama at Bonnier Broadcasting-owned duo TV4 and C More, added: “Hans has a long track record of creating captivating stories for an international and Swedish audience. He is an amazing author, one of the best in the world in his field.”
