Trace Olympics network on start line

French sportscaster Trace Sports is launching a new Olympics-themed channel with IPTV and DTH satellite provider CanalSat.

La Chaîne des Champions Spécial Londres will launch on Friday July 6 and run 24/7 until Monday August 20 to cover the 2012 Olympics in London.

The station will be based on the current Trace Sports channel, focusing on the lives, passions, training regimes and careers of famous champions and rising stars competing for medals this summer.

The channel will reach five million CanalSat subscribers on the platform’s channel 18 through TVs, PCs, Xboxes, tablets and smartphones. Programming will also be available via the CanalSat VoD service.
