The Winchesters, Professionals give Tuesdays a new look on The CW

US broadcast network The CW has revealed its fall primetime schedule, including a totally new look to Tuesday nights.

Demon-hunting supernatural drama The Winchesters is a prequel to The CW’s long-running series Supernatural, written and executive produced by Robbie Thompson.

The series comes from Chaos Machine Productions in association with Warner Bros Television and CBS Studios and will debut on Tuesdays in the 20.00 slot.

Irish-South African coproduction Professionals features Tom Welling, who previously starred in long-running CW series Smallville, as a high-level security operative who protects his clients by any means necessary. Brendan Fraser (Trust, The Mummy) and Elena Anaya (Wonder Woman) star alongside Welling.

Commissioned initially for NENT-owned Nordic streamer Viaplay, the 10-part English-language drama is produced by Most Media, Subotica, Spier Films and Roadside Attractions in association with Jeff Most Productions, Leonine Studios, NENT Group and The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa. The CW picked up the show in September.

Elsewhere, The CW’s latest swing at a new alternative series, Magic With The Stars, will premiere in Saturday primetime, while new scripted series Family Law debuts on Sundays, followed by a fourth season of Coroner.
