The Good Fight goes on at Paramount+

L-R: Cush Jumbo, Christine Baranski and Delroy Lindo star in The Good Fight

ViacomCBS-owned streamer Paramount+ has renewed original series The Good Fight for a sixth season, with the show currently four episodes into its 10-part fifth run.

The series is a sequel to CBS drama The Good Wife, which ended in 2016. It centres on three women working for an African American-run law firm in the US and their fight for social justice.

Co-creators Robert and Michelle King, the married duo who were also behind The Good Wife, exec produce alongside Phil Alden Robinson, Ridley Scott, David W Zucker, Brooke Kennedy, Liz Glotzer, William Finkelstein, Jonathan Tolins and Jacquelyn Reingold.

CBS Studios produces along with Scott Free Productions and King Size Productions, while ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group handles global distribution.

Nicole Clemens, president of original scripted series at Paramount+, said: “The Good Fight’s provocative, whip-smart and no-holds-barred world remains as relevant as ever, continuing to entice new audiences as one of Paramount+’s top-performing original series and acquisition drivers.

“We are thrilled to continue its enduring legacy with a sixth season and can’t wait to see what the brilliant minds behind the series tackle next.”
