Telemundo in US signs coproduction pact with Turkey’s Inter Medya

NBCUniversal’s Spanish-language US broadcaster Telemundo has agreed a coproduction deal with Turkish production and distribution company Inter Medya.

Under the multi-year agreement, the companies will co-develop and coproduce new longform scripted Turkish series to be aired exclusively on Telemundo.

Inter Medya, one of Turkey’s longest-standing production and distribution companies, represents Turkish series including Ay Yapim’s Endless Love, Tims&B Productions’ Bitter Lands and The Trusted, and O3 Medya’s The Ambassador’s Daughter and Last Summer.

Telemundo has enjoyed success as the Spanish-language home of Turkish dramas and novelas in the US.

The pair will develop, create and produce longform series based on new storylines that will appeal to Spanish-language audiences.

The agreement builds on Telemundo Studios coproductions with leading producers of scripted content worldwide, including Brazil’s Globo, Spain’s Movistar, Colombia’s Caracol and Sony Latin America.
