Sex Education producer Eleven promotes Carissa Hope Lynch to creative director

Sony-owned Sex Education prodco Eleven has promoted story producer Carissa Hope Lynch to creative director, reporting to founders Joel Wilson and Jamie Campbell.

Carissa Hope Lynch

Hope Lynch joined Eleven in 2019 to work on White Stork from Chris Dunlop for Netflix and Red Rose from Michael and Paul Clarkson for the BBC and Netflix.

In 2021, she conceived and designed Eleven’s script editor training scheme Duly Noted, in collaboration with Tolula Dada. The training has scaled up and is rolling out for a second year in 2022, in partnership with the BBC and Sony Pictures Television.

Before moving into TV, Hope Lynch designed the first phase of the national Write to Play scheme for Graeae Theatre Company, before going on to develop, commission and produce new works for the Royal Court Theatre.

Wilson and Campbell said in a joint statement: “In this exciting phase of growth for Eleven, we are delighted that Carissa will be helping to shape the strategic direction of the slate and the company. She embodies the spirit and ambition of Eleven and we could not be more excited about the future with her.”

Founded in 2006 by Campbell and Wilson, Eleven produces drama, documentary and comedy for the UK and international markets. Its work includes Sex Education for Netflix, True Horror for Channel 4, Gap Year for E4, The Enfield Haunting for Sky, Glue for E4 and Cast Offs for Channel 4.

Red Rose, a horror series following a group of 16-year-olds who encounter a supernatural presence on social media, was delayed by the pandemic and has yet to launch.
