Reardon ascends Jupiter

Jupiter Entertainment, the US-based prodco owned by European satcaster Sky, has appointed a former Roc Nation exec as its new president.

Patrick Reardon

Patrick Reardon will oversee all creative development and the day-to-day operations of Jupiter’s New York and Knoxville offices.

He will be responsible for creating original formats and generating new character driven series across all platforms.

The 15-year industry veteran will report directly to Stephen Land, founder and CEO of Jupiter.

Reardon is replacing Allison Wallach who is stepping down at the end of the year, but remains in talks with Jupiter about other roles. Senior VP and general manager Robert Twilley has recently joined Sky Studios also.

At Roc Nation, the entertainment company founded by Jay-Z, Reardon was head of the film and television and he was also co-head of television for The Weinstein Company (TWC).

Reardon also spent the earlier part of his career as head of production and development for Original Media.

Jupiter’s new president collaborated on and coproduced half a dozen projects with the company, both while at Roc Nation and TWC. In 2015, he headed up a joint prodco founded by TWC and Jupiter.

“Having worked with Patrick for a long time, we know he has an incredible creative vision and a passion for quality production,” Land said.

“His successful track record in developing fresh ideas and producing premium content, especially documentary series and male factual programming, will further fuel Jupiter as we prioritise those spaces.”
