Quebecor, Bell Media, TLN TV and Hayu pick up Fred Media factual

Reality TV SVoD service Hayu and three Canadian broadcasters have acquire shows from Australian distributor Fred Media.

NBCUniversal-owned Hayu has acquired seasons one and two of reality medical series Emergency (20×60’) and three seasons of Paramedics (30×60’) for Canada. Both returning observational documentary series are produced by Australia’s WTFN for Nine Network.

Quebecor Content has licensed Space Invaders for its Casa Lifestyle channel and Travels With The Bondi Vet for travel- and adventure-led channel Évasion.

Space Invaders (10×60’) addresses hoarding and attempts to help people with their space problems at home. Travels with the Bondi Vet (13×30’) follows Dr Chris Brown as he leaves his veterinary practice in Sydney and sets out on adventures in the wild.

Bell Media has acquired Mega Zoo (10×60’), an obs doc from WTFN that takes viewers behind the scenes at Zoos Victoria, the largest zoo in the Southern hemisphere.

Finally, TLN TV has acquired 38 hours of food-focused programming from Fred Media’s Tastemade catalogue. Titles under the deal include All the Pizza (7×30’), Heritage (7×30’), Frankie’s World (5×30’), Struggle Meals (four seasons, 45×30’), Sourced (8×30’) and Recipe for Love (4×30’).
