In the new role, Locke will guide the CMF’s day-to-day business and financial operations, as well as providing a strategic vision for its research and data gathering, which will be done in partnership and consultation with the industry and the organisation’s advisory committees. He will have oversight of the teams for analytics and strategic insights, finance and administration and HR.

In the coming weeks, Locke will work closely with CMF president and CEO Valerie Creighton and outgoing chief operating officer Sandra Collins to ensure a smooth transition.

During his time at Portfolio Entertainment, Locke was responsible for business growth, development and strategy, in addition to overseeing the finance team and daily operations. Before that he spent 14 years at kids-focused pay TV network Teletoon as VP of business operations.

“His industry track record and talent are the perfect complement to our revamped leadership team,” said Creighton.

“It’s exciting to see many months of consulting, planning and strategising come to life. With our current staff and our new hires, I am confident that we have a strong team to steer the CMF forward.”
