ViacomCBS-owned AVoD platform Pluto TV has unveiled its programming line-up in France, where it launched today.

Pluto TV is offering 40 curated and original channels in the country, including Pluto TV Ciné, Pluto TV Action and Pluto TV Drama.

Content has been licensed from more than 30 partners, including Paramount, Lionsgate, Endemol Shine/Banijay Rights, Filmrise, Mediawan, Ampersand, All3Media International and New Dominion Pictures, a ViacomCBS representative told C21.

The platform has acquired French series including Plus Belle La Vie, Les Cordier, Juge et Flic, Louis La Brocante, Femmes de Loi and La Maison Des Rocheville.

Films available to stream include Staying Alive, Fighting Temptations, The Ring, Snapdragon, Contract to Kill, Highlander, Star Trek, Save the Last Dance and La Source.

Pluto TV has also picked up kids’ animated series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Bubble Guppies, Dora the Explorer and Hey Arnold.

The entertainment selection, meanwhile, features Naruto Shippuden, Fairy Tail, Tortue Ninja and MTV content including Catfish, Cribs, Punk’d and Jackass.

The platform started in the US in 2014 and has been rolled out in the UK, Germany, Spain and 17 countries in Latin America. Its next launch will be in Italy later this year.

Viacom acquired Pluto TV for US$340m in January 2019, prior to its merger with CBS at the end of that year.
