Passion shows travel in Asia

Asian broadcasters have picked up more than 430 hours of programming from Tinopolis-owned Passion Distribution.

In the Philippines, Creative Programs has picked up all three seasons of Scripps Networks International’s cooking series Brunch @ Bobby’s and International Open House (8×30’).

In Hong Kong, Now TV has acquired all three seasons of Hook, Line & Dinner, while TVB has picked up property series Home Strange Home (16×60’).

CJ E&M licensed the seventh season of Scripps show Cupcake Wars (14×60’) for its Olive Channel in South Korea.

In China, LIC has picked up Pioneer Productions’ documentary series Weather That Changed the World (9×30’), which was produced for Weather Channel, as well as the Waddell Media-produced How Bruce Lee Change the World (1×90’).

Chinese broadcaster Phoenix, which was recently acquired by US private equity firm TPG Capital from 21st Century Fox, has picked up the Scripps home makeover show Renovation Raiders (8×60’).

New China Media, meanwhile, has taken Scripps property show You Live in What? (14×60’).

In Japan, NTV has picked up Kidnapped by the Kids (10×60’), produced by Love Productions for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in the US.

Finally, Indian lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times has signed for a large package deal of Passion titles including the new cooking competition show Cutthroat Kitchen (13×60’).
