Rookie Robot Explores the World is based on children’s drawings

Broadcasters NRK in Norway and ERR in Estonia, plus VoD platform Filmin in Spain and Portugal, have acquired season one of animated preschool series Rookie Robot Explores the World (26×3’).

Rookie Robot Explores the World is a non-dialogue series created and produced in Vienna by Sine Lege Film and Leiss Postproduction. The show follows the adventures of a curious and friendly little robot as he explores the world, meets new friends and experiences exciting adventures.

The series aims to encourage curiosity and highlights important values like patience, perseverance and respect for all individuals as well as for the planet. All the characters in the show are based on original children’s line drawings.

A second 26×3’ season is currently in production, with the first 13 episodes set for delivery in June, followed by the remaining 13 episodes in December.

The first season was previously acquired by South Korea’s Daekyo Kids TV and Daekyo Baby TV, ORF and Flimmit in Austria, and Canada’s Knowledge Network.

London-based Meta Media Entertainment recently took over worldwide distribution of the series from Austria’s ORF Enterprise.
