North American AVoD services carve out Fresh Meat deals with All3Media

British comedy-drama Fresh Meat

Several buyers across North America, including AVoD platform The Roku Channel in the US and Canada, have picked up British comedy-drama Fresh Meat.

Fox-owned AVoD service Tubi also acquired the series for the US and Canada, while Chicken Soup for the Soul-owned AVoD platform Crackle picked up the series in the US. In addition, the show will be made available on Amazon’s Prime Video in the US.

Produced by Objective Media Group in the UK and distributed by All3Media International, the satirical comedy about student life launched on Channel 4 in September 2011 and ran for four seasons.

Fresh Meat was created by Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain, who also created sitcom Peep Show, and starred Jack Whitehall, Charlotte Ritchie, Zawe Ashton, Joe Thomas, Kimberly Nixon and Greg McHugh.

Distribution rights to Peep Show recently moved under the All3Media International umbrella following the company’s acquisition of NENT Studios UK in June 2021.

The cast and creators of Fresh Meat will be part of a 10th anniversary live retrospective event scheduled to take place at London’s BFI later this month.
