NMV contracts Korean virus drama

London-based distributor-producer New Media Vision (NMV) has picked up a South Korean drama format about the spread of a deadly disease for its MipTV slate.

The Virus was produced by Seoul-based CJ E&M for Korean network OCN and follows a government’s battle to stop the disease from spreading.

NMV also has Belgian format Deadline 14/10, which follows a journalist who discovers the truth behind the disappearance of a young girl. The show, from Menuet Productions, first aired on Antwerpse TV & Viaamse Televisie Maatschappij in Belgium.

Meanwhile, 2900 Happiness, produced by Nordisk Film TV for TV3 in Denmark, is also on NMV’s slate and explores the roles of money and love in an upper-class neighbourhood.

NMV’s other formats for next month’s market include immigration-focused Point of Entry and Incredible Tales, which explores paranormal stories from around the world.
