Netflix tables Tabula Rasa globally

SVoD giant Netflix has picked up the streaming rights to Belgian psychological thriller Tabula Rasa from German distributor ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE).

Tabula Rasa stars and was co-written by Veerle Baetens

Netflix users globally are now able to watch the 9×50’ series first, with the exception of Germany, the UK and France, where the streamer has a second window.

The drama was coproduced by Brussels-based Caviar Films, Belgian broadcaster Eén, German network ZDFneo and ZDFE, and co-written by its star, Veerle Baetens, with Malin-Sarah Gozin and Christophe Dierickx.

Baetens plays an amnesiac who is locked up in a secure psychiatric hospital having been the last person to be seen with a man who has since disappeared.

The series, which aired originally on Belgium’s VRT, was acquired for the UK by international drama streamer Walter Presents. It will premiere on UK public broadcaster Channel 4, which operates Walter Presents with Global Series Network, in the summer.
