Netflix goes to Edge of Paradise with Studio Lambert, Raw to find survival reality series

US-based global streaming service Netflix has unveiled its latest foray into the formats business, with a survival reality show from The Circle producer Studio Lambert and Tinder Swindler’s Raw TV.

Stephen Lambert

Edge of Paradise (working title) is described as a survival reality series set in two worlds: a camp in the wilderness and a luxury villa nearby.

In a game of strategy and tactics, the cast must use alliances and friendships to win a place in the villa. Those in the villa at the end of the series compete for a cash prize.

The series is launching in spring 2023 and is a coproduction between Stephen Lambert’s Studio Lambert (The Circle) and Raw (Tinder Swindler).

Nia Yemoh, Stephen Yemoh and Tim Harcourt exec produce for Studio Lambert, Pete Campion, Ross Goodlass and Oliver Calleja for Raw.

In 2018, Netflix acquired global adaptation rights for The Circle, a Studio Lambert reality format that was initially commissioned by Channel 4 in the UK. It has since produced several international versions. All3Media-owned Lambert is also known for classic reality formats such as Wife Swap and Undercover Boss.
