Moonriver appoints Slim Film & TV’s Lincia Daniel to team, promotes Casey Herbert

UK drama producer Moonriver TV has bolstered its London-based team by hiring Lincia Daniel as an executive producer and promoting Casey Herbert.

Lincia Daniel

Daniel joins Moonriver from Slim Film and Television where she was UK head of production, working on titles including drama Around the World in 80 Days for BBC One and Mystic for CBBC.

Prior to that, she worked as a freelance script reader at the British Film Institute and as a producer for Magic Light Pictures and IMG Media.

Herbert, Moonriver’s existing exec producer, is stepping up to become senior exec producer, overseeing the creative team in London and working alongside CEO Xavier Marchand on the company’s slate of premium UK and International drama.

The duo will work on Nautilus, an upcoming fantasy series for Disney+ that tells the origin story of Jules Verne’s character Captain Nemo.

In addition to Nautilus, Daniel and Herbet will drive forward the company’s development slate, which includes First Time for Everything, an adaptation of the debut novel by Henry Fry, and Notre Dame, a real-time miniseries created by William Boyd.

Moonriver is also working on A Gentleman in Moscow, based on the book of the same name by Amor Towles and adapted for a major international streamer, and Vain Glory by the late screenwriter Alan Sharp, to be directed by James Watkins.
