Mediaset offers visits to Venice, Rome

Venice – The Beauty of the Lagoon

The distribution arm of Italian broadcast group Mediaset has added two new travelogues from documentary strand The Great Beauty to its sales slate.

Venice – The Beauty of the Lagoon (1×90’) reveals the story behind the Italian city, from the Doges and the millenary republic to the adventures of Giacomo Casanova, and from the Great Fires that tragically ruined the Teatro della Fenice to the secrets of building a gondola.

Rome – An Open-Air Museum – Another Unique City in the World (1×90’), which was filmed during Italy’s first coronavirus lockdown, tells the story of the Italian capital, looking at historically important residents including Michelangelo and Emperor Titus.

The docs, presented by Italian actor Cesare Bocci, originally aired in primetime on Mediaset’s Canale 5 network. Mediaset Distribution will shop them to the international market.
