Maryam Hamizadeh joins restructured and rebranded Cowshed Collective

London-based digital content specialist Cowshed Social has appointed Maryam Hamizadeh as chief business officer and re-branded the business as Cowshed Collective.

Hamizadeh, a former senior leadership executive at talent agency YMU Group, and has been charged with focusing on the commercial growth and development of the Gen Z-skewing business. She will report to MD Matt Ford.

“I have worked closely with Maryam previously and know what an asset she will be to the business as we embark on our next chapter as Cowshed Collective,” said Ford.

In addition to the new company name, Cowshed Collective has reorganised its business into four divisions.

Cowshed Studios will produce content for broadcasters, publishers and content creators, while Cowshed Creators will focus on talent-led branded content, IP, channel management and brand partnerships.

Business-to-business arm Cowshed Ventures will provide social media and content services to social commerce businesses and Cowshed Social aims to create branded social media campaigns.

As part of her new role, Hamizadeh will lead the Creators and Ventures divisions, developing talent-led branded content and IP.

She said: “I’m delighted to be involved in the next stage of the company’s overall development. Cowshed is an impressive business that understands content, production and how to deliver for clients to a high standard all within one agency.”
