ITV America’s Sirens takes on Baddies

ITV America-owned prodco Sirens Media has partnered with 16-year-old actor Marsai Martin and her production banner Genius Entertainment on an unscripted series about trailblazing black women in the US.

Baddies (working title) will focus on previously untold stories of black American women who have shaped US culture, from those working in sports and entertainment to politics and innovation.

Martin is best known for playing Diane Johnson in ABC sitcom Black-ish. Her other credits include Netflix’s The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show.

Martin, who founded Genius Entertainment, will exec produce Baddies with co-founder Joshua Martin, VP Carol Martin, head of television Nicole Dow and head of motion pictures Prince Baggett.

Sirens Media president Jessica Sebastian-Dayeh will also exec produce.
