HBO Max sets out on a fourth Doom Patrol with Berlanti Productions

Doom Patrol launched on DC Universe before moving to HBO Max

Warner Media-owned SVoD service HBO Max is bringing original series Doom Patrol, set in the DC Comics universe, back for a fourth season.

Scarred by various accidents that gave them their superhuman abilities, the Doom Patrol is shunned by humankind but will still fight for it.

The show is based on a comic book series and the cast includes Timothy Dalton, Michelle Gomez and Brendan Fraser.

It debuted in 2019 and began its third season on September 23 this year. US writer Greg Berlanti’s Berlanti Productions is behind the show, in association with Warner Bros Television.

The showrunner is Jeremy Carver, with Geoff Johns, Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Chris Dingess and Tamara Becher-Wilkinson serving as executive producers. The series is based on characters created for DC by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani.
