Eagle Eye Drama, the prodco set up by the team behind international drama brand Walter Presents, is working on the third season of Hotel Portofino with Germany’s Beta Film.

The Italy-set period drama series stars Natascha McElhone as the daughter of a wealthy industrialist who moves to Italy in the 1920s to set up a quintessentially British hotel in the beautiful town of Portofino.

The show, created and written by former Channel 4 communications director Matt Baker, is produced in cooperation with the Beta Film Group while production services are provided by Drugiplan.

The first season recently premiered on ITV in the UK and will launch on Sky Italia later this year. Season two will launch in the US later this year on PBS.

The third six-part season will bring the series total to 18×60’. Jo McGrath and Walter Iuzzolino will again oversee production as executive producers. PBS Distribution holds North American rights to Hotel Portofino. The show has sold to over 70 territories and is available on five continents.
