Gameface’s Adam Adler joins ITV Studios production label Potato as creative director

ITV Studios-owned format production label Potato has hired former Objective Productions and Channel 4 executive Adam Adler as creative director.

Adam Adler

Adler most recently led ITV Studios’ Gameface label, which was behind shows including recent Saturday night primetime ITV gameshow The Void and Britain’s Brightest Family. Gameface’s IP will now integrate into Potato going forwards.

Adler joins fellow creative directors Martin Scott and Phil Mount and will report to Potato MD Michael Kelpie.

Prior to Gameface, Adler was creative director of Objective Productions, where he created ITV’s The Cube and BBC One gameshow Reflex, while he was previously commissioning editor for entertainment at Channel 4, overseeing shows such as Derren Brown’s The Heist, 8 out of 10 Cats, Beauty & the Geek and Russell Brand’s Ponderland.

Adler’s appointment at The Chase producer Potato comes as the label is increasing its focus on quizshows and gameshows. The company’s new commissions include two primetime shows for ITV, Moneyball and Sitting on a Fortune – both coproductions with fellow ITV Studios label Possessed – and dating show Ready to Mingle.
