Fabel names development directors

Mohan Mandali and Jasmine Russ

Fledgling US indie Fabel Entertainment has named Mohan Mandali and Jasmine Russ as its directors of development.

Fabel was launched by CEO Henrik Bastin, exec producer of Amazon original drama Bosch, in February after he left Red Arrow Studios-owned Fabrik Entertainment.

Mandali and Russ were part of the Fabrik team that moved across with Bastin and will now be responsible for developing the slate the company retained from Fabrik and new content. Both will report to Fabel president Melissa Aouate.

Mandali’s credits include developing an as-yet-untitled Bosch spin-off series, while he also increased Fabel’s output of BAME stories. He previously worked in development at US cablenet HBO.

Russ has also been involved in the Bosch spin-off, as well as Chuck Palahniuk adaptation Invisible Monsters. She began her career at Peter Rasmussen Casting in Australia before moving to the US in 2014.
