Epic Drama poses Dead Still

Period crime drama Dead Still is set in Victorian Ireland

Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel has picked up an Irish-Canadian drama coproduction in a deal with German distributor ZDF Enterprises (ZDFE).

Period mystery drama Dead Still was commissioned by Irish pubcaster RTÉ and North American streamer Acorn TV.

ZDFE has concluded a deal with Viasat World’s Epic Drama channel that will see the 6×60’ series having a pay TV premiere this weekend across CEE, CIS, Baltics, Malta and Turkey.

Sales have also been concluded with Russian VoD service Showjet and Canal+’s French pay TV channel Polar+, with all deals brokered by Mirela Nastase, director of ZDFE.drama.

The macabre comedy, set in the Victorian era, focuses on the strange adventures of two of Dublin’s most famed memorial photographers. It was written by John Morton (People Like Us, Twenty Twelve, W1A).

The series is a Deadpan Pictures coproduction with Canada’s Shaftesbury Films in association with RTÉ, Acorn TV with Acorn Media Enterprises, ZDFE and the BAI.
