eOne links with Weinstein’s Dimension

Entertainment One (eOne) Television is partnering with The Weinstein Company’s Dimension Television on a new TV drama about a man who fakes his own death.

Death In The Modern Age will be written by Eli Kooris and Josh Shaffer, and is set to be produced by Los Angeles-based Landscape Entertainment, which signed a first-look deal with eOne in 2012.

The show follows the life of a suburban dwelling man who decides to pretend he is dead and start over after facing a series of disasters in his personal and professional life.

Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company, said: “The pilot for Death In The Modern Age blew me away with its original characters and insightful writing. I’m looking forward to working with Landscape and eOne to put together a gripping and original show.”
