E4 orders Brooklyn Nine-Nine ‘best moments’ special ahead of final episode

Brooklyn Nine-Nine started on Fox before moving to NBC

Channel 4 in the UK’s youth-skewing network E4 has commissioned a one-off special celebrating US comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine before the show’s last episode next month.

Set to air on E4 before the final episodes on June 8, the 1×60’ special will rejoice in Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s very best moments and explore what turned it into a much-loved staple on screens.

Cast members including Andy Samberg, Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio and Craig Robinson will feature in the special alongside co-creator and exec producer Dan Goor and composer Dan Marocco.

The special is being produced for E4 by Wise Owl Films.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is a comedy police procedural that revolves around the detectives in Brooklyn’s fictional 99th Precinct. Comcast-owned US network NBC confirmed last year the eighth season would be its last.

The show began in 2013 and was initially shown on Fox before being picked up by NBC after season five.
