Dr Anthony Fauci is now chief medical advisor to the president

National Geographic Documentary Films is working on a feature-length doc about US public health expert Dr Anthony Fauci.

Titled Fauci, the film will cover Dr Fauci’s 50-year career in US public health, culminating in leading the US response to the Covid-19 pandemic and, following the new president’s inauguration last month, serving as chief medical advisor to Joe Biden.

Former US president George W Bush, U2 frontman Bono and Microsoft chief Bill Gates are among the high-profile individuals featuring in the doc.

Directed by John Hoffman and Janet Tobias (Unseen Enemy), Fauci is produced by Alexandra Moss. The exec producers are Dan Cogan, Liz Garbus and Jon Bardin of New York prodco Story Syndicate.
