Discovery Italy gets the message

Discovery Italy has become the latest international broadcaster to pick up Belgian format Did You Get The Message? for local adaptation.

Hidden-camera comedy show Did You Get The Message?

Banijay Italy will produce eight episodes of the hidden-camera show with a broadcast date to be confirmed later this year.

Italy is the fifth country into which the format has been sold by distributor Be-Entertainment, following deals in Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal.

Be-Entertainment MD Gepke Nederlof said: “It’s fantastic that this format is travelling to yet another territory, especially in times like these when we can all use a strong entertainment format that brings a big dose of humour. And with already three highly successful series in Belgium, we’re able to offer a wide variety of messages ready to be adapted locally.”

The comedy, from Belgian format creator Shelter, shows how to get a message across in such a unique and memorable way that there’s no chance of it ever being forgotten.

The show premiered on VTM in Belgium.
