DeGeneres will develop and produce a variety of specials, series and documentaries for cablenet Discovery Channel and streamer Discovery+.

The first project is Endangered, which comes from Discovery and the BBC’s Natural History Unit, and is exec produced and narrated by DeGeneres.

The doc follows the efforts of dedicated wildlife conservationists across the globe as they work to compile the latest version of The Red List, the most comprehensive record of the state of the world’s wildlife ever created.

Endangered, which launches on Discovery+ in April, is BBC Studios Natural History Unit’s first non-BBC commission.

Each of the projects on the slate will be exec produced by Jeff Kleeman, president of DeGeneres’ prodco AVGP, and Discovery’s senior VP of documentaries and specials Howard Swartz.
