D360 unveils MipTV formats slate

Just Like Mom & Dad

Canada’s Distribution360 (D360) will be launching family gameshow Just Like Mom & Dad and renovation series Leave it to The Designer at MipTV next month.

Produced by D360 parent company Marblemedia, Just Like Mom & Dad (20×30’) features parent-children pairs competing in interactive trivia-based rounds and a bake-off challenge in front of a studio audience. It is based on 1980s format Just Like Mom, owned by Canada’s Bell Media.

Produced in association with Yes TV in Canada and BYUtv in the US, the 20-episode primetime family gameshow premiered across North America in January.

Renovation format Leave it to The Designer (130×30’), adapted from Canuck series Leave it to Bryan and produced by Si Entertainment, sees homeowners enlist a designer to consider three projects they’d like done in their home. However, with only the budget for one of them, they leave the designer to decide which one they will take on.

Additionally, D360 will be debuting preschool series Treasure Champs (30×15’) in Cannes. The show was commissioned by CBeebies and produced by Three Arrows Media in the UK, and explores moral values common to different faiths and cultures.

The company’s MipTV slate is rounded off by Marblemedia’s physical gameshow Splatalot (52×30’), which sees a team of attackers battling their way through three rounds against a team of defenders, in pursuit of being the last person standing and crowned victor.
