CuriosityStream rejigs top team

CuriosityStream, the factual-focused OTT service launched by Discovery Channel founder John Hendricks, has rejigged its management with two promotions.

Clint Stinchcomb

Clint Stinchcomb, formerly chief distribution officer, has been promoted to president and CEO having previously secured numerous deals with partners including Comcast, Sling and Verizon.

Stinchcomb’s promotion comes as Elizabeth Hendricks North, daughter of Hendricks, takes up the newly created role of president at Curiosity Studios, where she will produce original programming. She was most recently president and CEO at CuriosityStream.

The changes come three years after the streamer made its US debut, before being rolled out internationally six months later.

The service focuses on premium factual content, with original commissions forming part of its offering from the beginning.

Greenlit productions of 4K series and shortform programming include Big Picture Earth from filmmaker David Conover (Sunrise Earth) and multi-episode shows Deep Time History and Digits.

It has also acquired an array of shows, recently adding more than 20 hours from Beta Group-owned factual specialist Autentic Distribution.
