Classic flexes He-Man post Noddy buy-out

Broadcasters across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) have acquired more than 350 hours of programming such as Postman Pat and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.

Among the deals struck by transatlantic kids company Classic Media, Czech TV and Croatia-based Orlando Kids have acquired Postman Pat – sales that mean the show now has complete coverage in the CEE region.

He-Man, She-Ra: Princess of Power and Voltron: Defenders of the Universe have gone to 2×2 Russia for its retro programming slot. The channel has also acquired CBBC comedy short-form show Ooglies.

Hungary’s MTVA and Channel One-owned kidsnet Karusel in Russia have bought preschool shows Tinga Tinga Tales and Guess With Jess. CIS distributor Voxell has acquired rights to Arabic toon series Nan & Lili and Little Red Tractor.

The sales come a week after Classic acquired the Noddy brand from Chorion for an undisclosed amount.
