Channel 4 returns to Fargo

Chris Rock in Fargo season four

UK commercially funded public broadcaster Channel 4 has picked up the fourth season of FX crime anthology series Fargo.

The 11×60’ fourth run was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic but will air on C4 in the UK this spring, with the first two episodes directed by series creator Noah Hawley. It debuted on FX in the US last September.

Set in 1950s Kansas City, Fargo S4 stars Chris Rock as the head of a black crime syndicate fighting for a piece of the American dream opposite the Faddas, the rival Italian crime syndicate.

Fargo is produced by US studio MGM Television and FX Productions, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio and international distributor. The show is based on the Coen brothers’ 1996 film of the same name.

Nick Lee, head of acquisitions and international at C4, said: “Fargo explores a breadth of engaging and complex storylines, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to bring this unique cinematic show to our audiences once again.”
