Canada’s Bentframe TV & Film, Cineflix link to adapt Heather Marshall’s Looking for Jane

Canada’s Cineflix Studios has partnered with Toronto-based prodco BentFrame Film & TV to develop an adaptation of Heather Marshall’s book Looking for Jane.

Bentframe founder Adrienne Mitchell will be the lead director on the project and will co-executive produce alongside Sonia Hosko and Brett Burlock.

The deal for Looking for Jane follows the signing of a development and distribution pact between Bentframe and Cineflix last April, which gives the latter firm the first option to coproduce original content developed by Mitchell.

Looking for Jane tells the story of three women whose lives are bound together by a long-lost letter and an illegal underground abortion network.
