David Tshulak becomes head of development at BriteSpark with a remit to lead the company’s creative development and expand its output.

Tshulak joins having been senior development producer at ITN Productions, where he was responsible for commissions including Channel 5’s One Punch Killers. Prior to that, he worked at Renegade Pictures and Shiver.

Meanwhile, Vics Wilson is joining the company as production executive after stints in the same role for Studio Lambert, where he worked on Tattoo Fixers for Channel 4.

The additions come after BriteSpark secured a number of commissions – including Hunting Nazi Treasure, a coproduction between Saloon Media and BriteSpark for History Canada and More 4. Another show, yet to be announced, is also in the works for a UK broadcaster.

BriteSpark creative director Nick Godwin said: “David brings a fresh and imaginative take to the business of coming up with great ideas and getting shows greenlit.

“Vics is a renowned production executive with a proven track record of creating engaging content. With two new commissions for major channels in the pipeline, it feels like the right time for us to build the size and range of our slate both in the UK and America.”
