Boomerang adapts Almudena Grandes novel

Spanish prodco Boomerang TV is adapting Almudena Grandes novel El Corazón Helado (The Frozen Heart) as a TV series.

The book focuses on the lives of two families from the beginning of the Spanish Civil War to 2005.

Luis Santamaría, who executive produced Alba, the Spanish adaptation of Turkish soap Fatamagül, will serve as showrunner on the series, which is being written by Spanish playwright Miguel del Arco.

Boomerang has previously adapted literary works including Inés del Alma Mía (Inés of My Soul), El Tiempo Entre Costuras (The Time Inbetween) and La Templanza (Temperance). It also recently announced an adaptation of Cristina Morató novel Divine Lola.
