Blue Ant takes BBC First to Canada

Long-running BBC drama series Death in Paradise

Canadian producer, distributor and channel operator Blue Ant Media has partnered with BBC Studios to launch the BBC First channel in Canada.

BBC First follows BBC Earth, which launched in Canada at the start of 2017, as the second channel to be launched in the country through a partnership between Blue Ant Media and BBC Studios.

It will be part of Blue Ant’s portfolio of Canadian cablenets, carrying premium scripted and factual entertainment programming such as the UK version of motoring format Top Gear.

Scheduled to debut on Tuesday, March 16, the channel’s launch slate also includes drama series Death in Paradise, classic sitcom The Office and talkshow The Graham Norton Show.
