Based in London and reporting to executive VP Nick Percy, Tindall will be responsible for revenue and profit across Africa, Benelux, the Nordics, Poland and CEE.

He will also lead on the commercial strategy and delivery of commercial returns from BBC-branded services and content sales opportunities in these markets.

Prior to joining BBCS, Tindall spent 20 years at ViacomCBS, most recently as chief commercial officer for the UK. He left the company in May this year.

At ViacomCBS, Tindall also spent eight years as exec VP of commercial and content distribution, leading business development and channel, product and content distribution in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America, working with clients such as Amazon, Apple and Netflix.

Before joining ViacomCBS, Tindall was head of distribution for Flextech Television for five years.

Percy said: “This is a vital role for the EMEA business as we look to maximise value from our branded services and grow our major customer relationships in the region across all our lines of business.

“I have no doubt Arran’s experience and insights into the EMEA market will enable us to unlock new business opportunities and achieve our growth ambitions.”
