BBC News Arabic among latest MENA broadcasters to acquire from TVF Int’l

Al Jazeera’s package includes E-Sports Revolution

A host of broadcasters in the MENA region, including BBC News Arabic, have acquired content from London-based factual distributor TVF International.

BBC News Arabic has picked up shows including Disease Hunters (3×48’), BBC-commissioned series Super Tunnel (9×60’), Lost Pyramids of the Aztecs (2×50’) and long-running travel series No Luggage (184×29’).

Elsewhere, OSN has licensed a package of programmes including My Perfect Family (37×29’), from New Zealand-based, disability-first prodco Attitude Pictures, and wildlife conservation series Eco-Heroines (8×52’).

Farsi-language broadcaster BBC Persian has picked up a package that includes environmental solutions series Climate for Change (4×48’) and science titles How to See a Black Hole (1×44’), from Windfall films, and The Search for Habitable Planets (1×50’) and Birth of Planet Earth (1×50’) from Thomas Lucas Productions.

Meanwhile, Alhurra has acquired season 13 of long-running technology show Innovation Nation (13×22’), while Al Jazeera’s documentary arm has licensed a package including E-Sports Revolution (5×48’) and Rain: The Untold Story (3×60’).
