Since 2019, industry veteran Henwood has served as non-executive chairman of the London-based television content and investment group.

His new role will see him tasked with leading Tin Roof’s domestic and global expansion.

“We are now in position to investigate strategic opportunities for the business,” said Henwood. “These include organic growth by bringing in new business winners and new labels, or through investment into the group to support further expansion and take Tin Roof to the next stage.”

Henwood has previously worked as chief operating officer at The Ink Factory, as well as at Banijay where he was CEO for the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. He has also held positions at Channel 4, ITV and Fox Kids.

Tin Roof, which houses prodcos Blink Films and Outline Productions, distributes TV content to a client base including Disney+, Netflix, Discovery, BBC, ITV and Sky. It is backed by Rockpool Investments.

“We’re delighted with Rod’s commitment to the group,” said Andrew Green, head of investments at Rockpool. “Stepping up to exec chairman is the logical next step given the progress we’ve made and the scale the business is now reaching.”
