Bake Off prodco rejigs top team

Love Productions, the UK indie behind the Bake Off format, has restructured its senior management as it continues to expand on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the UK, Kieran Smith is stepping up to become creative director of factual programming, working with CEOs Richard McKerrow and Anna Beattie.

Smith has been developing and executive producing with Love for six years, working on shows including Channel 4’s Make Bradford British and the Bafta-winning Great British Bake Off for BBC2.

Letty Kavanagh, Love’s head of production, is stepping up to become MD after five years with the company. Rupert Frisby is coming onboard as director of legal and commercial affairs, having previously been commercial director at TalkbackThames and Nutopia.

In the US, Joey Allen has been appointed senior VP of Love Productions USA. The company is producing The American Baking Competition for CBS and is developing a sports quizshow. Allen was previously VP of production and executive producer at Pangolin Pictures.
