AwesomenessTV replaces Robbins

Youth-skewing digital network AwesomenessTV has appointed a former exec at the NFL and WB Television Network as its CEO, replacing Brian Robbins.

Jordan Levin

Jordan Levin will take up the position at the end of the month, working alongside president Brett Bouttier at the LA-based firm.

Bouttier had initially taken on Robbins’ responsibilities when he announced his departure in February.

Levin, who was most recently chief content officer at the NFL, will oversee brands including AwesomenessTV and DreamWorksTV.

He was previously part of the executive team that launched The WB Television Network and worked as CEO and president of programming, overseeing a slate that included Dawson’s Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and One Tree Hill.

He has also had stints at The Walt Disney Company, Xbox Entertainment Studios and Defy Media.

AwesomenessTV has had a complicated ownership history, having been taken over by DreamWorks Animation in 2013, which later sold stakes to Hearst and Verizon before itself being taken over by Comcast last year. It is now 51% owned by DreamWorks and 49% by Verizon and Hearst.
