Alexandra Blue takes development role at Sex Education prodco Eleven

Eleven, the UK production company behind hit Netflix comedy-drama Sex Education, has hired Alexandra Blue as its development producer.

Best known for working on the movies Paddington 2 and The Babadook, Blue will report to Eleven founders Jamie Campbell and Joel Wilson.

Blue worked at UK prodco Warp Films after moving from her native Australia, then Heyday Films and Heyday Television, and is currently co-developing a TV series with Various Artists. Alongside this, she has run her own company, Bluebird Productions, since 2009.

Blue said: “I have always been a champion of new, original, and diverse voices and am excited to bring fresh stories to the slate from the best up-and-coming British talent, whilst also keeping an eye on writers and directors internationally. With the backing of Eleven, I can’t wait to bring a distinctive range of stories to the screen.”
